Many specialties..... one location!

The Pediatric Pavilion was born out of the growing need for speciality pediatric healthcare services in the Concord and Cabarrus region. Previously, the rural community members traveled to the bigger cities of Charlotte, Winston-Salem, and Durham for specialty and subspecialty care if their needs could not be met locally.

As the Cabarrus region has grown and the urban expansion of the Charlotte-metro region has reached Concord and Kannapolis, the population has greatly increased, as have the healthcare needs of those families. CMC-NorthEast has continued to expand pediatric services since bringing the first pediatric endocrinologist on staff in 1994. In 2006, the opening of the Jeff Gordon Children's Hospital further expanded these services.

Since 2008, all of these pediatric subspecialties have been housed in one convenient location - the Pediatric Pavilion at the Jeff Gordon Children's Hospital. We provide a continuum of care, assisting patients and families in scheduling multiple appointments in the same day with a variety of physicians in one easy location.
